The Process

What I ask of you:

  • Keep an open mind. Be willing to use the tool of introspection, as it allows individuals to examine their inner world and make adjustments to their thoughts and behaviors as necessary.

  • Be willing to learn. Become a student of your own life.

  • Be curious about your feelings and your reactions. Willing to investigate to find your truth.

  • Be motivated to change and willing to accept those changes.

  • Be willing to do the work. Guided 1-minute activities for your journey along with fun exercises to explore mindfulness.

  • Follow through on commitments. Be persistent. Be consistent. Be intentional.

  • Take the initiative to carry forward what you take away from each lesson into your daily life.

  • Do not rush through the process.

  • Arrive prepared for each session with an open mind and a willingness to engage in conversation. Bring any topics or questions that you would like to explore together during our time.

  • To maximize your progress, it's important to do your homework. Remember, 80% of your results come from what you do between our sessions. Take ownership and carry forward what you learn in each session into your daily life.

  • Incorporate mindfulness into your daily routine, whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner. We can explore a low-stress approach tailored to your needs, or build upon your existing skills to enhance your practice.

The steps

  Initial Free Consult

  • The initial consultation session is to establish a connection and gather information about your wellness goals, challenges, and expectations.

  • Assessing your current situation. What are your challenges? Where do you want to go? What do you want to see change? 

  • Assessing Your Needs: I conduct a comprehensive assessment to understand your current lifestyle, and specific areas you want to address. This involves asking questions about your physical activity, nutrition, sleep patterns, stress levels, and overall well-being.

  • Identifying what patterns show up repeatedly that no longer serve you? Anxiety or other emotional hijacks? Self-criticism? Perfectionism or “glass half full” mentality? Worry about what others think?

  • Setting Clear Goals: Together, we establish clear and realistic wellness goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART goals). This step helps create a roadmap for our coaching process.

  • Establishing long and short-term strategies. What path do you want to take? How to address the short-term practical issues while aiming toward the long-term vision? How to transition your finances, job, relationships, etc., while minimizing risk? 

  • Building mindfulness skills. Support for establishing mindfulness as a way of life. Either as a formal meditation practice, or simple daily habits that provide a foundation of groundedness and self-awareness.

  • Managing ongoing focus and energy. Keeping you on track and accountable while being flexible, kind, and gentle with yourself.

  • The purpose is not necessarily to achieve your goals (which may change) but to transform yourself in a way that the goals begin to take care of themselves.

  • Assessing Your Readiness for Change: I evaluate your readiness and motivation to make positive lifestyle changes. We explore your willingness to commit to the coaching process, embrace new habits, and overcome potential obstacles. This step helps determine your level of engagement and provides insights into your dedication.

 

  The Plan

  • Developing Your Personalized Wellness Plan: Based on the information gathered, I create a personalized wellness plan tailored to your goals, preferences, and abilities. This plan outlines specific action steps, routines, stress management techniques, recommendations, and other strategies that align with your objectives.

  • Regular Session (designed with your schedule and pocket in mind): Regular sessions to track your development and make adjustments to the wellness plan as needed. These sessions provide an opportunity to celebrate your achievements, address challenges, provide support, and modify strategies for continued success.

  • Ongoing Support and Accountability: I offer ongoing support and encouragement throughout your wellness journey. I act as a source of motivation, provide educational resources, and maintain open lines of communication to address any concerns or questions you may have.

  • Continual Professional Development: As a wellness coach, I am committed to continuous professional development. I stay updated on the latest research, trends, and techniques in the field to provide you with the most effective and evidence-based guidance.

My priority is your well-being, empowerment, and self-discovery. By following these steps, we can establish a strong foundation for our coaching relationship and work together to help you achieve your desired state of wellness.
